Sugarloaf Mountain Vineyard is located at the base of Sugarloaf Mountain, making it the perfect spot to enjoy a picnic and a nice glass of wine after a hike up scenic Sugarloaf Mountain. The winery opened in 2006 and encompasses 22 acres filled with vines of French vinifera clones grafted on American rootstock. The grapes from these vines are hand picked, cold-soaked, cold-fermented, and aged to produce both red and white grapes with unique flavors.
Sugarloaf Mountain Vineyard creates an assortment of celebrated red
s, white s, and rose wines. These wines have received an extensive list of awards since the winery opened, receiving recognition by state, regional, and international organizations. They also created the exclusive Bacchus Club that is limited to 500 members. But if you are fortunate enough to be a member, you will receive several bottles of wine each quarter, tickets to the annual Stomp Festival, discounts, and other special perks at the winery.
The vineyard offers an a la carte menu, but also allows you to bring your own picnic lunch if you’d prefer. So next time you need to get away for a few hours, try visiting Sugarloaf Mountain Vineyard for an enjoyable, relaxing afternoon.
